Sentetik zehirli maddeler beyin kalp ve akciğerlerde kalıcı hasarlar bırakabilir.

Kimyasallardan Koruma Derneği tarafından Piri Reis Anadolu Lisesinde 9.10.11. sınıf öğrencilerine ve ailelerine “Geleceğimiz Uyuşturulmasın Bilinçli Aile Mutlu Toplum” projesi kapsamında “Uyuşturucu, Madde Bağımlılığı ve Zararları” konulu eğitim düzenlendi.

300 öğrenci ve 20 aileye bilgilendirme yapıldı. Eğitim, Yeşilay formatörleri ve kimya mühendisleri tarafından verildi. Kimyasallardan Koruma Derneği Başkanı Cennet Çelik, eğitimin içeriği hakkında şunları söyledi.

Madde bağımlılığı, vücudun işlevlerini olumsuz yönde etkileyen maddelerin kullanılması, bundan dolayı zarar görüldüğü hâlde bu maddelerin kullanımının bırakılamamasıdır. Bağımlı, madde kullanımına ara verdiğinde yoksunluk belirtileri yaşar. Zamanla madde kullanım sıklığını ve dozunu artırır.

Uyuşturucu madde bağımlıları, çoğunlukla kullanımı kontrol edebilecekleri düşüncesiyle madde kullanmaya başlarlar. Oysa bağımlılığın nasıl gelişeceği öngörülemez, bir kez kullanım dahi son derece risklidir. İlk kullanımdan sonra tekrar madde alma ihtiyacı doğar.

Avrupa Uyuşturucu ve Bağımlılığı İzleme Merkezi’ne göre, Türkiye sentetik uyuşturucudan ölümlerde Avrupa’da ilk sırada. 2017’de Türkiye’de 580 kişi uyuşturucudan öldü.

Sentetik, yani doğal olmayan laboratuvar ortamında üretilen maddeler son derece ciddi riskleri de beraberinde getirir.  Sentetik maddeler, genelde var olan etkin maddenin özel muameleler ve kimyasal yöntemlerle moleküler anlamda değişikliğe uğratılması neticesinde birtakım ara maddelerin de katılmasıyla üretilmektedir. Uyuşturucu satıcıları daha çok sentetik madde üretebilmek için, fare zehrinden florosan tozuna kadar pek çok kimyasal maddeyi üretiminde kullanıyor.
